Questions
What is the one thing this site is claiming?
That the number every venue reports — total depth, total value locked, aggregate liquidity — is a sum, and the thing you actually get is not. What can leave is capped by the narrowest cut between you and the exit, and widening anything outside that cut changes it by nothing at all. That is a theorem, not an opinion, and the front page measures it twice: in a model you can watch, and in real quotes from real pools.
Does any of it actually work?
The router does, right now. /app discovers every Uniswap V3 pool between two tokens on Base, prices every route at your size, shows which hop the cost is actually in, simulates the transaction against the current block, and swaps through Uniswap’s own SwapRouter02 — no key, no backend and no proxy anywhere in the path. The measurement and the models are real too, and the build re-runs them rather than trusting them.
Is the vault deployed?
No, and that is the one thing on this site worth being loud about. Aquifer and Spar are written and compiled, and every build executes their properties on an EVM and then sabotages the contract four ways to confirm the suite notices. But there is no address, no audit, and no token — deploying needs a key this repository does not have and should not have. The creation bytecode is published so you can put it on a chain yourself. The state table on /doline names every part and how to check it.
Why a cave?
Because a karst aquifer is the cleanest physical example of the thing being argued. Rock that is nearly uniform develops one route that carries almost everything, the total cross-section barely moves while what comes out changes by an order of magnitude, and from the surface you cannot tell which sink feeds which spring. Every one of those is measurable, and the hero is the measurement running.
The hero is doing arithmetic in my browser. Why?
Because a video of a model is an assertion about a model. The readout under it is read out of the same state the drawing is, including the solver’s own residual, so if the arithmetic were wrong the page would say so while you watched.
Do the quotes cover every venue?
No, and the pages that use them say so in the same breath. They are Uniswap V3 on Base at one block. Base’s deepest market for several of these tokens is Aerodrome, which is not read. So nothing here says a token is illiquid — only what these pools, on this venue, would have paid.
Why is there no price impact figure that includes the fee?
Because impact is measured against the price of a ten-dollar trade through the same route, so the fee cancels and what is left is depth. That makes every pool here look better than a trader would find it, which is the direction an approximation should err on a site arguing that pools are thinner than they are reported to be.
What does the grade beside a number mean?
How it was measured. Five is a published standard or a read from the chain; one is an assertion with nothing behind it. The scale is on the Survey page along with every constant the site uses and what each one is allowed to claim.
