A chain that never closes, wrapping a thing that does

A tokenised equity trades continuously. The instrument it references does not: it has a session, a close, a corporate-actions calendar and a jurisdiction. Every hour the reference market is shut, the token is a market in what people expect that market to say when it opens. That is a real market and it is not the same market.

The category sells this as 24/7 access. It is 24/7 access to a price discovered by whoever is awake, and the cost of it shows up in exactly one place: the size that clears while the reference is shut.

• The gap is not slippage. It is the difference between two clocks, and it is priced into every quote taken outside the session whether or not anybody says so.
• Depth is worst when the wrapper matters most. Overnight, the hedge that lets a market maker quote tightly is the one that is unavailable.
• Redemption is a legal fact, not a contract call. Whether the wrapper can be turned back into the thing, by whom, and on what day, decides what the token is.

The same measurement, on a calendar

The instrument on Conduit is calendar-blind: it asks a quoter what a size costs, now. For a Resurgence market the identical measurement, split by whether the reference session is open, is the whole story — one number in the session, one outside it, and the ratio between them.

That is the page this would be. It is not written yet, because writing it before the measurement exists is how a roadmap becomes a claim in the present tense. G1
